Here are the two comics with Hawkman and Hawkgirl on the covers. There were zero mentions of the Hawks in any of the descriptions.
The King Shazam story, which includes the Absolute Hawkman, finally comes to a close in Absolute Superman No. 21. The action in this story was pretty insane, and Hawkman had a pretty big part of it, so here's a spoiler-rich review of the issue. If you haven't read it yet, come back later!

Back in February of 2019, the Hawkman series by Robert Venditti revealed a former life of Hawkman, and it wasn't just any random character. This character was Catar-Ol, a Kryptonian who was living on Krypton at the time of its destruction. He appeared in a few comics during the next two or three years, but he has not been seen since 2022. Still, he was given a pretty important background.

What is Hawkworld? For me, it is a place to find my favorite superhero, to celebrate the past and look forward to the future. It is a place that lets me get away from all the business, problems, and worries that everyday life throws at me. It is a place to find the kid in me and feel young again. It is a place which allows me to soar with my favorite fictional hero. It is a place to share my favorite heroes with other like-minded Hawkamaniacs! It is a special place, and that special place reached a big milestone today!
July 4th may be "Independence Day" in America, but it's Impossible Day at Hawkworld! Let's take a look at the Thanagarian tradition that first appeared in The Brave and the Bold No. 44 (November 1962).
McFarlane Toys announced on June 25 that they would be releasing a Golden Age-era (sort of) version of Hawkgirl, along with Wonder Woman and Poison Ivy! They are currently on sale at Walmart. This version has one of Hawkgirl's Golden Age costumes, but the head is still Kendra, not Shiera. It looks like they just repainted the figure and didn't do much else.

SPOILER ALERT! As a Hawkman fan, it has been very difficult to like what DC Comics is doing to the character in their Absolute Superman series. Hawkman first appeared in Absolute Evil No. 1 last year, and there is absolutely nothing to like about this character as a hero or a person. He is a murderer and a traitor, and he has become the muscle for the villains of this universe's Earth. So when this issue kicked off the way it did, I'm left with conflicting feelings, most of them not so good. This review is a spoiler, so please come back after you have read the issue. 
Always fun to update this collection of Hawkgirl/Hawkwoman pics from time to time. Hawkgirl truly is an iconic character with a rich history.

DC Comics' solicitations for September 2026 have been released. There were zero mentions of Hawkman, Hawkwoman, or Hawkgirl in any of the current issues, but I managed to find Hawkman on a couple of covers and a double-mention of a Hawkman comic in a DC Finest book. Also, there was no mention of him, but Absolute Hawkman's recent appearances are in Absolute Superman. Wish there was more to report, but that's it for September. The wait continues. Keep soaring, Hawkfans!

Rating the Hawkman Comics! I approach this project with a bit of hesitation and preparation to accept some chastisement from some fellow Hawkfans, including myself. I say this because we all have differing opinions on the comics that have remained in our hearts over the years, so if someone sees how I have relegated their favorite series to Fair or below, they have every right to tell me to stick where the sun doesn't shine. I'll probably ask myself what the seven hells I was thinking when I look at the chart again tomorrow. There are some I will probably fold like a cheap napkin after a short debate. But then there are some series where I will stand steadfast in my belief as long as there are some comic critics who will continue to proclaim that Hawkman is confusing. I'll give just a short reason for each series to explain why I put it where it is. Let the debates begin!
