First appearance: Absolute Evil No. 1 (October 2025) Origin: Absolute Superman No. 16 (April 2026) Alias: Dr. Carter Hall, retired archaeologist, born and raised in Gotham City
In 1940, Dr. Carter Hall discovered a Thanagarian mace made of Nth metal in the tomb of Teth-Adam in Kahndaq. The huge mace gave him the powers of flight and incredible strength. He became a member of the Justice Society, but then it turned dark. In 1951, Hawkman betrayed his fellow heroes and revealed their secret identities to the Un-American Activities Committee. Over seventy years later, Hawkman is now working for the villains of the Absolute Universe. This group includes Veronica Cale, Ra's Al Ghul, Hector Hammond, the Joker, and Dr. Elenore Thawn. Hawkman murdered Oliver Queen (Green Arrow) to stop him from going after an Epstein-like character. He appears before the group, and he has changed drastically. His face is wrapped in mummy-like bandages, his helmet reminds you of the Predator, his wings appear to be metallic, and his costume reminds you of a WWII German SS officer. Ra's Al Ghul asks Hawkman to go to Superman and get him to join the Lazarus Corp. Superman flatly refuses, and they get into a fight. Hawkman is incredibly powerful in this universe. He sends Superman flying with his mace. Superman's heat vision has no effect on him. He smacks Superman around a few times, almost breaks his arm, and makes him bleed. Superman's punch sends him through four buildings and into an underground subway station, but Hawkman just shrugs it off and comes back at him. Their fight is then interrupted by Parasite. Hawkman watches Superman defeat Parasite to save Metropolis and reports back to the Lazarus Corp.
