Two Million Views for Hawkworld!

Hawkworld.org started with this post on April 9, 2017!

   What is Hawkworld? For me, it is a place to find my favorite superhero, to celebrate the past and look forward to the future. It is a place that lets me get away from all the business, problems, and worries that everyday life throws at me. It is a place to find the kid in me and feel young again. It is a place which allows me to soar with my favorite fictional hero. It is a place to share my favorite heroes with other like-minded Hawkamaniacs! It is a special place, and that special place reached a big milestone today!

   Hawkworld has reached two million views! That's 2000000! The site has steadily grown over the years, and it has become perhaps the most active and visited Hawkman and Hawkgirl fan site in the world! The Hawkworld fan group started on Facebook, but it quickly became so big that we branched out to Instagram, Reddit, Bluesky, and Threads as well. I also had an account on Twiiter/X with 8k followers, but I decided to delete it for various reasons.

   Hawkworld started slowly, naturally. It was a good day if the site got 100 views a day, but it kept growing. I signed up for a domain name (Hawkworld.org) back in May 2001, and it made a big difference. The site started getting around 500 views a day. And it slowly increased year by year. The site currently gets 4000 or more views daily. 

   Hawkworld has been greatly honored by being followed by many writers, artists, editors, and other creators of past Hawkman and Hawkgirl series. That is the ultimate seal of approval! You can find the list of creators of the comics who follow Hawkworld here and/or on one of the other social media sites. 

   Since I started Hawkworld, I've tried to stick with a few guidelines as I built the site. 

   Keep it positive. (Not always successful, but I'm only human for Pete's sake.)
   No swearing. 
   No AI. (I believe that AI is disrespectful to the true artists.)
   Always try to add the artist's name when I post someone's art.
   Keep it active with daily and weekly posts. 
   Be a guide for new Hawkman and Hawkgirl fans. 
   Keep followers informed about where to find the Hawks and any news about upcoming projects.

   Here's what Google Gemini had to say when I asked about Hawkworld.org. 

   I just hit one million back in October 2025, which means it took me over 8 years to reach one million, and now it has taken only nine months to reach two million. It looks like Hawkworld is finding its place in the comics community! There have been a few times when I was ready to call it quits, but I'm glad I've stuck with it this long. 

   As the famous misquote from the movie Field of Dreams says, "If you build it, they will come." I had no idea how this would turn out when I started over ten years ago, and it has become something far, far bigger than I ever imagined, but I'm glad I can build a place for fellow Hawkman and Hawkgirl fans to come together and celebrate our favorite heroes.
