New Hawkgirl Series Coming in July

It has been announced that a new 6-issue miniseries of Hawkgirl will start on July 18. Ever since the Dawn of DC chart came out last year, fans had been wondering what was coming, and it was finally announced a couple of months ago. The writer will be Jadzia Axelrod and the art will be done by Amancay Nahuelpan. Here is the intro that we got for the first issue:
Kendra Saunders, the winged warrior better known as Hawkgirl, has been one of the DCU's greatest heroes for a long time, serving as a member of both the Justice League and the Justice Society. But with the Justice League disbanded, Kendra decides she needs a fresh start and heads to Metropolis to begin a new life. That life is quickly interrupted by a mysterious villain with a powerful connection to the Nth metal that makes up Hawkgirl's wings and weapons.
Here's the intro for the 2nd issue that's coming out on Aug 15:

Hawkgirl’s made a new enemy, but also a new friend. Is Metropolis’s A-Town neighborhood big enough for both of them? And will Galaxy discover the connection between Hawkgirl’s Nth metal wings and Vulpecula’s plans before it’s too late?

So it appears that Hawkgirl will be in Metropolis, and there is no sign of the Martian Manhunter with who she had a sorta relationship in the Justice League series. Hawkman is on a variant for issue No. 2 but it's anybody's guess if he will show up in the story or not.

Here are the other covers and variants for the first two issues.
