DC Movies Ranked Worst to Best (24SSports)

It's not often that we get a fairly positive review of Black Adam, but this writer for 24SSports had Black Adam ranked higher than I expected, so I was pleasantly surprised. No, Black Adam is not a perfect movie. It definitely had its problems and could have done without some things (Heroes don't kill, Skateboard kid, Snacks, etc.) but it did introduce a lot of new things to the DCU; Hawkman, the Justice Society, Nth metal ship, Hawkman's estate, potential for Isis and Hawkgirl, etc. Not to mention the first ever silver screen version of Hawkman. Finally. Personally, I would love to have a copy of the movie that cuts out the skateboard kid and the needlessly long prison breakout scene. But in my humble opinion, it's not as bad as many make it out to be. Yes, it came up short of $400 million worldwide. WB did very little marketing for it. China banned it. There was absolutely nothing where I live in Japan. Not even in the theater where the movie was being shown. Whatever the reasons, Warner Bros. failed this film. Setting all that aside, there are fans who enjoyed the film and the writer of the article appears to be one of them. He gave Black Adam a pretty high ranking among the DC films. Here are the films in alphabetical order.

Aquaman
Batman vs. Superman Dawn of Justice
Black Adam
The Flash
Justice League
Man of Steel
Birds of Prey
Shazam
Shazam Fury of the Gods
Suicide Squad
The Suicide Squad
Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman 1984

What would your ranking of these movies be? Many fans are passionate about these movies, and it would be extremely hard to find someone who would rank the movies in the same way. But the debate is half the fun.

My ranking would be
1. Man of Steel (They could have avoided all that collateral damage, but I guess they needed Batman to be mad about something.
2. Aquaman (Absolutely loved this movie, despite Amber Heard's bad acting)
3. Wonder Woman (Up to the reveal of Aries, it was perfect. Then it dragged)
4. Black Adam (writing, writing, writing)
5. Justice League (The unfulfilled promise of "Room for More.")
6. Shazam (Lots of fun, but Billy Batson acted older as Billy and like a pre-teen as Captain Marvel.)
7. Batman vs. Superman Dawn of Justice (Lex Luthor was aggravating to no end. Wonder Woman at the end saved it)
8. The Suicide Squad (They should not have killed the Polka Dot Man. Why couldn't Starro step on Harley Quinn, the Queen of plot armor?)
9. Suicide Squad (When the movie is based in Midway City, and you can't even mention Hawkman and Hawkgirl once, or throw in a freakin' Easter Egg for crying out loud, the shutters go down.)

Haven't watched: The Flash, Birds of Prey, Shazam Fury of the Gods, Wonder Woman 1984

Here's the link to the article. Check out the surprising ranking the writer placed some of the movies.

Here's the review I did on a podcast immediately after I watched Black Adam last year if you want to see a review from a Hawkfan. I still had some hope that Hawkman would get a spinoff of some kind when I did the review. Oh, well.
