A Hawkman-Hawkgirl Collage (1940-2017)
About two years ago, I thought I would put together a few of my favorite Hawkman pictures from the comics. The first collage I made had 35 pictures, but then I thought to do one with a picture from every year since 1940. After that, I thought I should do one for Hawkgirl. Then I thought I could combine them. The result was a 154-pic collage of the history of the Hawks that took over a year to put together. Now, how about a 500-pic collage next?

Scott Snyder's Syfy Wire Interview Quotes
Some promising comments were made by Scott Snyder during his interview with Syfy Wire!

Lady Blackhawk and the Dragon of Barbatos (Metal No. 4) |
Quotes from Scott Snyder:
"Thanagar Prime, which is a story element that's going to be picked up after Metal, as well."
"They've always been central to the DNA of the story and plot-wise it's been about Batman picking up on a mystery that the two of them have been a part of for generations. This is the part that their emotional conflict, their mythology, their mission, relationship with each other, their love comes to the front of the story. Everything becomes jeopardized and they become very prominent figures from here on out. What happens to them plays out in stories after Metal too. So it's great to move them to center stage and moving them forward."
"I love writing Hawkman. I love writing Carter Hall. I love the fact that he's this detective of history. He's this hero that's sort of reincarnated over and over and over. And has this mantle I think, and this burden of knowing so much about human progress, human failings. He's been around since the very beginning of humanity and so he's seen the scope of our greatest ambitions and our biggest failures. He's also connected to these wild alien elements and so there's almost this great secret history to him and his character."

Hawkman's Ultimate Weapon: The Claw of Horus
Hawkman's Ultimate Weapon: The Claw of Horus
By Tim Board
Throughout his history, one of Hawkman's trademarks has been his weapons, From the beginning he has used all sorts of weapons to defeat his enemies; from his ever present mace to his Katar from Hawkworld. However, in 2001, David Goyer and Geoff Johns created a weapon for Hawkman that would be his most powerful weapon ever; the Claw of Horus.
