DC Comics Solicitations 2026 May for Hawkman and Hawkgirl

DC Comics' solicitations for May 2026 were released recently. Unfortunately, there isn't much to report. But it may be short, but report I will.

JSA #19
Release Date: May 6
The Justice Society of America is putting the pieces back together after its tumultuous run-in with the Injustice Society. But before the dust can settle, the Spectre returns with only one driving mission: VENGEANCE!

JSA has been pretty much a bust for the Hawks in this series. Although Hawkgirl (over to the right, third or so back) and Hawkman (way in the back, behind Kid Eternity's legs) are sort of on the cover, it's not guaranteed they will be in the comic, so buy at your own risk.

They have recently had short appearances in World's Finest, Aquaman, and Green Lantern Corps, but there is zero mention of the Hawks in the summaries this month, so nothing to report there.

That's it for May!

  1. More and more, I feel that Geoff Johns is the only writer that understands the importance of Hawkman to the JSA.

    1. This is just my personal opinion, but I feel that Geoff Johns' Hawkman hasn't aged well. His soap opera between Carter and Kendra was entertaining at first, but it just kept dragging on, and Kendra never grew up or matured. Carter was also viewed as a bit of a stalker. Not good. He also got angrier as Johns' run went on, and his portrayal of Carter and Oliver Queen's relationship was shallow and a missed opportunity. Rags Morales' art will always be one of the best ever in Hawkman' history, and I think Johns' benefits from that quite a bit.
