Hawkman's Secret Museum

In the current JSA series, there have been several mentions of Hawkman's "Secret Museum." The Injustice Society is doing everything they can to find its location. It appears that it is where Hawkman keeps the dangerous artifacts and weapons that he has collected over the years, including the Spear of Destiny.
Note: Spoilers ahead so come back after you read JSA No. 9!

I assumed maybe it was referring to his Soarship, where it was revealed that he keeps his records of history and artifacts. As far as I know, the ship still exsists, even though it hasn't been seen or mentioned for a few years. However, Green Lantern (Alan Scott) revealed the location in issue No. 9. It is located on Blackhawk Island, which apparently is somewhere in the South Pacific.

Dark Nights Metal No. 1 (Oct 2017)

The connection between Hawkman and the Blackhawks were revealed for the first time, as far as I know, in the Metal series by Scott Snyder back in 2017. Kendra Saunders was Lady Blackhawk, a leader of the Blackhawks before she became Hawkgirl in the Justice League series (2018-2022).

Dark Nights Metal No. 1 (Oct 2017)

According to the stories in Dark Days The Forge and Dark Days the Casting, Hawkman led a team of heroes and scientists to find out what the Dark Multiverse was. The team included Challengers of the unknowm, Red Tornado, Starman, the Blackhawks and others. There was even a statue dedicated to Hawkman on the island.

Dark Days The Forge (Aug 2017)

I always thought that the island would be a perfect base for Hawkman on Earth, but it was never brought up again. Until now. This series has been a bit slow and especially lacking in Hawkman and Hawkgirl's involvement, but this got my interest again. Blackhawk Island is where Hawkman keeps his most important and dangerous discoveries. There were pictures of Hawkman surrounded by some of his artifacts, including his helmets and even the Claw of Horus in Dark Days The Casting. I assumed then that it was somewhere in Egypt, but it could very easily be set up in Blackhawk Island. This would be a very interesting development.

Dark Days The Forge (Aug 2017)

My hope is that they actually start including Hawkman and Hawkgirl in the main story. The Injustice Society has now arrived on the island and are ready to attack. I would hate to see it all play out on Blackhawk Island, in Hawkman's museum, without Hawkman even being there. That would be beyond disappointing. Let's hope Hawkman and Hawkgirl hurry up and find their way back to they can be in the action again.

Wow what a cool "twist" I wasn't expecting to come back. Thanks for walking us through the history of Blackhawk Island Tim. I couldn't remember how far back it went in Hawks history but its nice to see Lemire has some interest in using Hawkman lore
